this is one you've seen before, the only difference being it now has it's first border. i've come to really like this quilt, it's bright and fun and almost done!
but then i thought, why not one for his brother, so ta-da, here is one in blue! it also already has it's first border and is almost done, but i'm not so keen on this one, it's so blue! i've decided it needs a red border, so now it's just finding the perfect red fabric, yeh right, there is no such thing as the "perfect" fabric whenever i want it!
the whole sewing together of squares with randomness and ease led me to make yet another basic all square quilt for my daughter, this is made out of flannel however and was originally pre-cut for a raggy quilt, which i have come to know that i detest making! i will also do the back in the alternate squares i chose for the raggy quilt and then send it for professional "quilting" so that in effect she has a dbl sided quilt for her bed! i'm hoping to do this in the next cpl of mths.
in the space of that very crafty week i did also manage to finish 2 projects, a wall hanger for my newly born niece and a pram quilt, but in hindsight i hate the pram quilt so will be giving it to my daughter for her dolls. the hanger is a 3 panel creation with A LOT of hand stitching, will they like it? i have no idea ..
also on the go i have the knitted dress for my 6yo, 2 scarves for my girls, 1 baby quilt and 1 more hanger .. i'm sure i'll find the time to sleep at some stage, perhaps when i'm dead?!
